History
Thailand Division started to take shape back in early 2009 by John Holt and over the period of a few months started to grow in interest
in VATASIA as well as within the VATSIM community. With the approval and support of William Woo, VATTHD (Thailand Division) was officaly
made a division on September 5th, 2009.
Airspace
VATTHD covers the entire country of Thailand from North at Chiang Mai to South at Hat Yai. Thailand's main commercial traffic runs through
the city of Bangkok located right in the middle of the country. With the newly added Suvarnabhumi Int'l (VTBS) for international and domestic
passenger operations to the original Doung Mueang Int'l (VTBD), Bangkok is the city you will most likley transition through on a flight into our
airspace.
